April 20th, 2021 Literature Review #1 visual     some of the data from the study the paper mentioned  Visual.  Citation Bettinger, Eric et al. "How Online College Classes Alter Student And Professor Performance". Cesinfo, vol 1, no. 1, 2014 , pp. 1-38. Summary   The article talked about a study the authors made at DeVry campus. The purpose of the study was to see what, if any, changes online learning has on the performance of the students. They calculate the average GPA and grade for the students who took a class online and compared the grades to those who took the same class in a more traditional environment. Authors All of the authors are Stanford university graduates or are associate professors at Harvard . They have spent years learning about various education methods, including online and traditional learning. The paper was published under the guidance of Stanford university and was also peer reviewed.

The graph helps illustrate the percentages of people in several income brackets. I can use it to show how many students do not have internet or computer access. Accessed 1 Mar 2021. Summary .  The texts goes into detail about the setup of the two studies. The point of the studies was to find the difference, if any, between online learning compared to in-person learning. The studies themselves were relatively small group size, but all were in their 3rd  year in college. The first study did not find any difference academically when the students had to be thought online vs. a more traditional learning environment. February 26, 2021 Research Proposal Working title Consequences of online learning on the human Psyche and academic performance Topic Description As technology has rapidly changed, it is now possible for students to be taught fully online. This new ability could have drastic differences in both the quality of education as well as unintended side effects on students. I will talk about the effects online education has on students, both academically and socially.
